AUSTIN NOW

The Austin, TX chapter of the National Organization for Women (Austin NOW) has been active since 2013, fighting for equality in Central Texas.

In 2016, Austin NOW and Williamson County NOW Task Force spearheaded the “Adopt-a-CPC” Program in Travis & Williamson Counties, where groups of dedicated NOW members committed to regularly protesting Crisis Pregnancy Centers in their area to raise community awareness and let our legislators know that we are NOT happy about the lies and manipulation that occur at CPCs. (For more information on CPCs and the harm they do to communities across the United States, please click here.)

Being in the heart of Texas, where the Capitol building is practically in our backyard, Austin NOW is in a prime position to hold unique, eye-catching protests on Capitol grounds. We also regularly partner with a myriad of organizations in the Austin area to bring awareness to feminist causes for

everything from immigrant rights, period drives for the homeless, reproductive rights, sexist comments from snack CEOs, and so much more.
